Jim Wilson Architects designed all of the renovations to one of the first large office buildings constructed in McKinney, Texas. The approximately 64,000 square-foot office and bank building has undergone significant renovations to the interior, and the exterior was enhanced with new landscaping and cosmetic improvements. Major components of the project include the renovation of the ground-floor lobby with new, state-of-the-art elevators; a new branch bank on the first floor; the bank’s central data center; new elevator lobbies, common areas, and upgraded restrooms throughout; over 30,000 square feet of Class-A office lease space; and Independent Bank Group’s new corporate headquarters on the fourth floor. Careful consideration was made to incorporate sustainable elements throughout the building and landscape design with the anticipation of achieving a LEED certification.
