Wood Street Renovation
LOCATION:
McKinney, Texas
DESCRIPTION:
Jim Wilson Architects renovated the dilapidated Royal Crown Cola Bottling Company Building, originally built in 1929, and converted it into their architectural office. Essentially, the interior was completely gutted and reconfigured to accommodate the needs of an architectural studio. All new windows, doors, roof, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems were installed, and the structure was re-fortified throughout. The newly revitalized structure now has a large, open studio environment, a conference room, workroom, library, break room, two restrooms, and a private office on the roof.
