Sportron World Headquarters

DESCRIPTION:
Jim Wilson Architects designed the new world headquarters for Sportron International, Inc., a Texas-based marketer of nutritional supplements serving the international arena. The 25,000 square-foot building includes a grand, circular entry and reception area; a suite of executive offices and conference areas; a large, open-office work environment; and approximately 12,000 square-feet of dock-high warehouse space. Because of the owners' concern for the comfort of their employees, a fully loaded kitchen, a comfortable lounge, exercise and locker rooms, and a covered, outdoor break area have been incorporated into the design. Tilt-up concrete panel construction was selected for its economic benefits and durability, while accents of stone and standing-seam metal were included for their warmth and texture.
